Starting and stopping the FCP service
The Fibre Channel Protocol (FCP) is a service that enables you to manage Fibre Channel target adapters for use with LUNs. If FCP is licensed and an FC adapter is present in the target storage system, you can start or stop the FCP service. If you stop the FCP service, Data ONTAP does not accept FCP requests over any adapter, regardless of whether the adapter is online. Before using this feature, an FCP license must be installed and FCP must be enabled on your storage system.
